My role as a corporate communications intern was to work under Bill Stanfield, Video Productions Manager at First Horizon Corporation, to produce content for the company. On a weekly basis, we filmed interviews, captured B-Roll, and edited footage together under strict deadlines. We produced content for First Horizon’s corporate website for their employees, FirstNet, which broadcasts weekly updates to employees across the entire company.
During my time at First Tennessee Bank, I had the privilege of heading a video project for our internship program which is annually held each summer. My role in this project was to lead the other corporate communications interns, delegating tasks for each member to complete within my own deadlines, while also planning and producing the video aspects of this project. As lead intern on this project, I dedicated my time to being on top of our schedule at all times, being sure my team was up-to-date with my schedule and plans at all times, as well as meeting with full-time employees at First Tennessee to ensure my project was meeting expectations.
Aside from this project, I had the opportunity to travel across both Tennessee and to the East Coast, specifically in North Carolina and Florida, to different branches of the company. This travel allowed our team to produce diverse content which reflects all facets of the First Horizon Corporation.
